Ultrasonic Diffuser Care & Troubleshooting

This ultrasonic diffusers are designed for daily use. Like all electrical appliances, natural wear and tear can occur over time — especially after 3+ years of regular use. Most misting issues are simple to fix with a little care.

Before assuming your diffuser is faulty, please try the following:

• Check the water level
Fill to the marked line only. Too little or too much water can stop mist output.

• Clean the ultrasonic plate
The small metal disc inside the base creates the mist. Residue from oils, dust, or minerals can block it.

Gently clean with a cotton bud dipped in white vinegar or isopropyl alcohol, then rinse and dry.

👉 This step resolves most misting issues.

• Maintain regular cleaning
Empty leftover water daily. Every 3–5 uses, run the diffuser for 5–10 minutes with water + 1 tsp white vinegar, then rinse and dry.

• Check power supply
Ensure cords are secure, try a different power point, and check for visible damage.

• Use pure essential oils only
Synthetic or fragrance oils can clog and damage the diffuser.

• Consider room conditions
High humidity, airflow from fans or air-conditioning, or placing the diffuser on soft surfaces can affect mist visibility.

• Understand natural wear & tear
Ultrasonic diffusers contain a ceramic disc that slowly wears down with time, heat, mineral-rich water, and frequent use. Reduced mist after several years is normal.

• Use filtered or distilled water
This can significantly extend the life of your diffuser, especially in hard-water areas.

When to Consider Replacement?
If your diffuser has been well-loved for several years and cleaning no longer restores mist, it may simply be time for a new one — much like a kettle or hairdryer that’s done its job beautifully.

Place the diffuser on a flat surface.
Fill the base with filtered water (max. 600mL).
Add 8–10 drops of your chosen Twenty8 Essential Oil or Synergy Blend.
Replace the cover and press the mist button to begin diffusion.
Adjust mist level or light using the buttons on the front panel.
Recommended: Clean regularly using a damp cloth with a few drops of Twenty8 Keep It Clean Drops for optimal performance.
