Warm Chia Porridge

During these cooler days, sometimes it’s nice to have a warm soothing breakfast. During the warmer days, change the fruit to yummy summer fruits and this is a refreshing delight. Chia Porridge is ultra-easy to make, super healthy and ever-so delicious.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup chia seeds
1/3 cup desiccated coconut
¼ cup hemp seeds
250 ml of milk (coconut/nut/dairy)
½ cup boiling water

Fruit use your imagination or choose one of:
• one banana and 1 cup of blueberries
• one pear and 2 dates
• one apple and 2 dates and ½ tspn cinnamon
• 1 ½ cups of mixed berries
• One mango and a passionfruit

Super ingredients to add:
½ tspn of vanilla essence
1 Tbsp of Forage For You (add after taking off the heat and stir in)
1tspn of collagen
1 tsp lemon juice

Method:

Add all the ingredients to a pan and gently heat whilst stirring. It will thicken up as it heats and as the chia seeds gel. If you prefer your porridge to be a little thinner, just add more milk. When nice and hot, serve into a bowl, top with nuts and yoghurt. Enjoy.
